I am the Chef / Director of Dining Services at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, Pa. This is my 7th year at the Mount where I feed 560 High School Girls. This is the only school I have ever worked at, my experience comes from Restaurant and Executive Dining. When I arrived at the Mount, I thought it would be easier to teach the girls how to eat rather than learn how to cook school foods. It seems I made the right choice. This year at the Mount is the first year of our after school culinary program. This blog covers our classes, foods we learn to prepare and foods we prepare and serve in school.
